This is NOT CAPSTAR and I cannot believe they can market with that name. These are gelcaps not tablets like the real capster and they were hand counted and shipped in a jewel case. After having great success with capstar and wanting to save a buck, I purchased this product and gave it to three out of four of my cats. (the fourth won't take pills). Shortly after I gave them to the cats the two youngest/smallest began running like maniacs around the house and panting like crazy. One has calmed down and seems okay and one's heart is still racing a mile a minute and she's panting like mad and she has been in this state for the last half hour. I just hope I don't end up at the Emergency Vet this Memorial Day weekend. Be cautious this could cost you more than the money you save from buying the real capstar. I gave it one star because you have to but it really should be 0.

After reading other reviews about this product I decided to give it a try.....wasn't worth my twenty bucks! Not one flea died nor did the cat scratch any more than he did prior to my giving him the capsules. I purchased twenty capsules thinking that they would last me through the spring and summer since my cat is on flea intervention. I have not seen one dead flea as a result of using this generic drug. On the other hand, capstar's results could be seen within an hour; fleas were jumping off my cat like jumping from a sinking ship.
Don't waste your money, go with the real mccoy.

Please exercise caution with this company- I bought 'Praziquantel' for my dog from Animal Lovers LLC to treat her tapeworm in early March. After two doses without worm clearing and then opening and testing the pills- I found the white powder inside was baking soda. Praziquantel has a near 100% effective rate of clearing tape worms- so it just didn't add up. The pills were unmarked capsules and did not work for my dog. Reading the cat reviews talks about others using unmarked capsules for things like fleas in cats. Please be careful to all of you pet lovers out there before deciding to use this company. The pills they sold me were a placebo!

This is the stuff if you want to kill adult fleas that are attacking your pet! It does not kill larvae or anything but the adults, but it is a godsend if your animal is infested as mine was this past summer. My regular flea med. quit working so I got this and changed my usual brand of flea meds. and tada! Fleas be gone! Thanks for making such an affordable product that actually works and doesn't make my pet sick or have an allergic reaction! I have already recommended this product to 3 of my friends that sing the praises as well of this product.

These capsules arrived packaged in a clear jewel case with a color copy of the dog and cat pictured folded and squeezed into the jewel case. There is no secure packaging for this medication and no information about the packaging included either. What medications are given like this? Looks like a shoddy home ec project from high school back in the day. I certainly wouldn't trust to give who knows what, and packaged under unknown conditions to my beloved animal. I ordered 2/28/12 and returned 3/13/12, and have yet to see a refund.

I would not buy this item to give your pet. It seemed to make my cat's skin dry and itchy....which it says it will when the fleas "react to the medicine." But I could barely even get my cat to eat it....even if I mixed it in her wet food. She wouldn't touch it. It is better just to spend the few extra dollars and go buy an name brand flea medicine that you KNOW will work. I wish I could get a refund on this.

I have 2 inside cats, however, I care for 3 outside cats that were abandoned by their owners when they moved. Apart from food and vet care, flea and worm medicine can become expensive because they require more attention. I used Nitenpyram on all 5 cats and saw immediate results. I gave each outside cat 2 treatments, I never seen them happier.

I can say that it worked combined with Frontline, so... I can't say it's completely because of the pills - but the cats are without fleas as far as I can tell.
