I have 2 lights similar to these that are made by Megabrite. These Capstones have some handy features the Megabrites don't. There are 4 adjustable features that are great improvements. The light head swivels side to side and forward and the section below it moves forward. It also has a light timer on it that adjusts to 20, 60 or 90 seconds. The sensor is one of those round ones which reaches a wide area and is also on a hinged bracket you can adjust. The only thing I don't like is the most important one. On the Megabrites the light beam is a solid spotlight of light. The whole area is equal light. This may be because the plastic cover over the bulbs is a dome and may refract the light that way(?). The Capstones have a flat cover and the beam is reduced to a small spot in the middle like a standard flashlight and lights a very small area, very disappointing, but the improvements are great for certain places you may need a wireless light for.

They do have 16 led's but I would have to say the old 12 led's work better work better because of the
flood light it puts out the 16 led's seem you work more like a flashlight tight beam straight down.
These are the cheaper of the bunch don't make sense the 16's.

Great product - battery powered LED motion sensors install easily, work perfectly, and don't consume much power. After installing the first pair and seeing how well they worked, I bought a second 2-pack.

I purchased these lights at Costco ($16), and the motion sensor doesn't respond no matter how dark the room is or how much motion. The ones I got may simply be defective, where the On and Off switches work, but Auto doesn't respond to any motion in dark rooms. I purchased these out of convenience while I was at Costco, but I already have seven motion sensor lights from Mr Beams that I purchased from Amazon, and they work perfectly. Still, the Duration switch (20, 60 90), the Function switch (On, Off, Auto), pivoting forward and sideways, and the 90-degree pivoting motion sensor are all nice touches.

I had trouble with these lights not working with even a small amount of ambient light, but found that covering the light sensor (the small translucent nub of plastic along the frame of the main light array) with a small piece of black electrical tape, then the light would kick on with any motion any time of day or night. Perfect.

These are great for me. I live on the third floor of a house that has no lighting up the stairwell, and these are exactly what I need. I can adjust where the light is pointed and where the sensor is pointed so that it can pick up on the first detected movement up the staircase. The lights are not super bright, nor are they directional (which is good because the ones I bought before these were blindingly bright spotlights). I also like that they have a timer on them and give a few warning flashed before they turn off so I'm not suddenly in the dark again and falling down the stairs.

I have used these all over my house and business. I can get in the door at night and traverse my house without light switches being turned on at night. Would recommend this highly.

Drill a pilot hole for the screws if you are going into wood. The screws are cheap and can (and did) snap. Would be better if weather proof, but still effective under an eve or inside.
