A Classic for the Ages!!!!!,
By D. L. Haynes "Samurai-D" (Omaha, NE USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Captain America: The Origin of Captain America (Marvel Comics Video Library #03) (VHS Tape)
This is one of the first Marvel Comics Video Library tapes that I had seen. I used to rent these from Captain Video (Omaha, NE) and watch them on TV/VCR combo that my dad would bring home from work to watch work stuff on. I would put it in my room and watch these tapes into the night. This one is very special to me because it introduced me to the 1966 Captain America cartoons that I still watch today with my three boys. It shows the origin of Cap and the drawings are done by Jack Kirby who is a legend in the comics world. This alone makes this a collectors item and something that every fan of Cap or Jack Kirby should see at least once in their lives. The second episode on this disk is a treasure from the 1980's Spider-Man cartoon where Cap and Spidey battle the Red Skull. Classic! These are becoming harder and harder to find so pick them up when you can because they are becoming collectors items. Cheers! |
