I got this book today at the Doylestown Bookshop for my daughter's classmate's birthday. When I got it home, my two year old son and dinosaur lover wouldn't let me wrap it. I am going to have to get another copy for him ASAP. I just love the fun words in the book like, "gurgleguts", "and "nasty noodle-brained nincompoops"! This really is a great book for any dinasaur loving boy and a nice change of pace from many of the girly books at our house. Mommy's High Heel Shoes

I bought his for an almost 3 year old boy who LOVES pirates and dinosaurs. I was so excited to find a book about pirate dinosaurs! This is his favorite book ever, he'll want it read 50 times a day. We finally had to limit him! This is the second pirate dinosaur book, the first one is just as great!

My son loves the adventure...I think it's a nice book...quality materials and binding...This is a great way to mix together things that kids love to read about...other kids' adventures, dinosaurs, pirates, detailed artwork, and hero ending...

my 3 1/2 year old son LOVES this book!!! (the 1st one is also excellent but this is the #1 most requested. the same children's characters are featured in both). the dialog is smart, the art is outrageously original & funny, and really, it's a cool story that most kids will get a kick out of. a unique story that we will read for many years, i'm sure! just be prepared for you kid to repeat over & over "you slimy seafaring sausages!"

My almost four year old son loves this book. The illustrations are somewhat darker/more agressive/scary than the first although he doesn't seem to notice a difference. He sings the song so often my 20m can now sing along (sigh). Ketchup is a now a big part of pirate and dinosaur play at our preschool which baffles everyone but me, hee hee. And yes, it taught him the concept of insults. Still four stars because he loves it so much and it is still fairly gentle.

I just realized there are two more Flinn stories published in England (only) so hopefully they'll arrive soon and be equally popular.
