This review is from: Captain Hook: A Pilot's Tragedy and Triumph in the Vietnam War (Hardcover)
I first met CAPT Foster several years ago when we were deployed in the USS Intrepid (CVS-11) to the Mediterranean Sea area. Through the years I have followed his career with great interest. CAPT Foster is to me the epitome of a Naval hero. His "first-person" narrative of his experiences, especially the section where he was able to look down at the radio control panel in his A-4 Skyhawk aircraft and find his "still-gloved right hand and arm" laying there effectively places the reader right there in the cockpit with him. If not exactly a "page-turner," CAPT Foster's book is deserving of a place in the library of present and former Naval officers.
