5.0 out of 5 stars Love the underpants series
My kids are fighting over who gets to read the book next. And of course, I have to wait until all three of my kids are finished before I can read it. But the son who read it says it's great.

3.0 out of 5 stars Yet another Pilkey pleasure
Since reviewers need to be over 13, I'll type my 6-year-old son's comments. Henry says: I found it very funny. I thought it was hilarious. The Flip-o-ramas were good and the whole book was awesome. I've read all of the CU books, as well as the Ricky Ricotta books up to book 7, and I would say this one isn't the best, but it's awfully good. It was funny when Boxer...

4.0 out of 5 stars Captain Underpants and the Preposterous Plight of the Purple Potty People, June 12, 2007
A Kid's Review
Captain Underpants Scholastic Inc., 2006, 175pp, $4.99
Dav Pilkey 0-493-37614-9

Two kids named George and Harold hypnotize their principal into thinking he is a superhero by using a "3-D hypno ring." When they don't follow the directions to a time machine they end up in an opposite world. Now they meet their doubles and have to stop them from taking over the world. Will George and Harold stop their doubles? Read the book and find out.
My opinion for this book is that it is really great. The author of this book, Dav Pilkey, writes very good fantasy books in my opinion.
I would recommend this book to kids from ages 7-12 because it isn't that interesting otherwise.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great book for kids who hate to read!, August 7, 2007
My son loves these books, although I find them less than ideal reading material. It gets him to read and he enjoys the humor, so that's good enough for me!

I bought this for my child. He loves all things Captain Underpants. I would highly recommend this book, especially if your child is a reluctant reader who enjoys underpants/potty humor! I think I enjoyed it as much as my child!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pilkey's Purple Potty People prevail!, August 26, 2007

My 8-year-old loved it. Funny without being unkind. Laugh with, not at. Sure, there are some pranks, but essentially harmless. Also my 17-year-old loved it, and yes, my 42-year-old wife loved it. And I got a great deal of entertainment, also. Buy it and have fun!!

My 6 year old son says, "My favorite part was when Captain Underpants pounded a rock on the hamster's head." "I would tell my friends to read it."

I read the series aloud to my 4 year old boy, and he laughs and laughs. We just love the flip-o-rama. These are drop-dead funny. Highly recommended. Pictures on every page for little readers.
