5.0 out of 5 stars Fun for kids!
I disagree with the previous reviewer. She is nothing but a prude. Kids love to read these books. My six year old son loves them! They are cute and funny and keep them excited about reading. Any positive and fun book that encourages reading, I am all for. The previous reviewer wants to ban books from a public school library. That is concerning. Kids, read these...

1.0 out of 5 stars Please hold the line, parents.
OK.....call me priggish, but as a 5th grade teacher, this book (#8 in the series) put me over the edge. I am all for humor and fun, but Dav has clearly gone beyond the bounds of what is acceptable. Duh....kids will read anything that smacks of inappropriateness! They WILL find it, on their own. I object to this series being offered by our school library...

I object to this series being offered by our school library because.....guess what?....parents trust that we care enough to monitor what's on the shelves. I know, I know, parents are often desperate to get a reluctant reader to read ANY book without a hassle, but isn't this like offering fatty, sugary foods to reluctant eaters, and then praying they WON'T develop a poor diet inclination? I thought we were finally getting smarter about these things. Please parents, there are zillions of kids' books to choose for young minds that are funny but non-offensive.

This review is from: Captain Underpants and the Preposterous Plight of the Purple Potty People (Paperback)
Kids, read these books and continue to read books that make you smile and laugh. Keep reading! Furthermore, always challenge those who want to censor and/or ban books!
