Hot Fantasy for the D/S afficiando,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Captive Flesh (Black Lace) (Paperback)
This is a far better-than-average erotic adventure set in that ever-popular exotic location: the harem. What sets this book apart is the quality of writing by author Cleo Cordell, and the emphasis on the psychological reactions of the heroine to her situation. The man who has imprisoned her sets out to seduce her rather than simply overpower her, and in fact the two never have intercourse in this story. Which is not to say there's not a lot of sexual tension, sensual delights, and a few sex scenes. . . . but Cordell is aiming for a different kind of impact than what is provided by a more traditional novel of sex-scene after sex-scene. I highly recommend this book if the subtleties of dominance and submission are a turn-on.

This book had some really good scenes and reminded me of the Beauty series by Anne Rice. It was a good story line without too much story in between scenes. I did end up going back to this one a few times and had a few favorite sections.

Best BDSM novel I've read,
This review is from: The Captive Flesh (Black Lace) (Paperback)
This is the best BDSM novel I've ever read. And I've read a lot (100+). This is the author's masterwork. All her other books are mediocre at best.
