After an escape, recapture, and some life-threatening moments, the police catch up with them. This is a short, intense, action-packed story by a master of formula adventure. The implausibility of the situation and the lack of character development will be unimportant to readers caught up in the story. Captive by gary Paulsen is about 3 kids that are kidnapped by two guys that first kidnapped a whole class. But then the tire pops on the stolen bus and the kidnappers act like they were real bus drivers. Then a guy with a truck helps them but then Spoon and Ripper[ the kidnappers] shoot the guy. They took Woody, Mitch, and Roman [ the kids that get kidnapped] and take the man's truck I think that Gary Paulsen [ the author ] was trying to tell us that you should never give up. Because in the book the kids try to get help by writing[ on the bathroom wall at the gas station] the license plate number and where they think they are hiding. They always tried to escape. that's why I think that Gary Paulsen tried to say to never give up. I like this book because Gary makes it seem like you are the one that is getting kidnapped. I like this book also because it is actin packed with adventures. He keeps you exited because when you read a chapter you just want to keep on reading and see what happens next. That's why I think that this book is the best for me.

I think Captive is a very good book.It is fun, exciting, adventurious,and very thrilling. The Author,Gary Paulsen, Is very creative and i really like his style of writng. I encourage everyone who likes page turners to read this book. Captive is a very nice piece of Gary Paulsens collection. So please read this book. It is important to read well and this book fits all the catagories.
