This review is from: Captive Lover (Paperback)
This had to be the worst book I have ever heard. I say "heard" as my family read it aloud so we could laugh. I know it is from the 80s, but still... they kidnap a rock star to raise money for a charity? They expect him to wake up from the drugs they gave him to willingly pay the money as a publicity stunt? Helen has to be the stupidest woman ever. The book would have been a short story if not for Helen's digressions. We have no chance to forget "Jay" has "vivid green eyes." We are going to highlight every "green eyes" in the book! The other reviews, giving it 4 stars, didn't review the book, they just quoted the back of the paperback! It was so terrible, we are looking for more by the same author!

Instead of leaving immediately, he insisted on staying until her brother returned. And the fact that he was dangerously attractive was no consolation. All Jay wanted was a temporary diversion and Helen had no intention of allowing another man to to hurt her ...

From the book cover: HE WAS DANGEROUSLY SEXY, and HER Hostage! Helen wished she'd never, very let herself get caught up in her brother Ricky's crazy scheme to kidnap celebrity Jay Keller as a charity fund-raiser. The reality of being "bait" for the escapades had Helen wishing she'd stayed home. Jay's public image as the sex symbol of the century turned out to be no exaggeration. But Helen's predicament didn't end there. Ricky meant to "stow" Jay away in her spare bedroom and leave Helen to do the explaining...
