Well I came across the first single for this album, Dead Man, a few days ago, and have been hooked on it ever since. Imagine my excitement when I found out there was a whole album coming out. I downloaded it as soon as I was able to and it has met and exceeded my greatest expectations. The music is awesome, with a great balance of screaming and singing, and the lyrics are even better. It is so refreshing to find a great hard core band who loves to glorify their savior through their lyrics and who actually have uplifting, hopeful lyrics. Any post hardcore fan, rock fan, Christian rock fan, or metal fan should definitely check this album out because they will love it. I sure did. There is not a bad song on the album.

Wolves at the Gate is an up and coming post hardcore band from Ohio. Captors is their first record and you are in for a treat. This record continues their evolution as a band from We Are The Ones EP released in 2010. They are a Christian band, which is evident throughout the record. Captors theme is redemption through Christ.

This release was NOT on my MOST ANTICIPATED 2012 list, but then when I started listening to it I wondered "Why aren't they on my list?!". I bought the cd the 1st week it came out, and I think EACH song is amazing. These guys have genuine hearts for God and their message is pure and straight. Really uplifting! I don't know who to compare them to, but their melodies mixed with the harsh vocals are ADDICTING. EACH song is different from all the others on the whole cd (which is important). They ALSO made the Top 10 Metal releases on iTunes with this album the 1st week!
Go check them out if you haven't already, and BUY THEIR CD and SUPPORT these guys on tour!! I look forward to hearing more from them :D
