This material has so fine a component as to not be extracted by centrifugal Dyson vacuums, and will coat parts with a very fine white talcum like material including inside the cover of the hepa filter, which it likely will clog. That material also remains in the carpet giving only an appearance of cleaning, just whitening it. Best used with a shop vac to extract it, or a bagged vacuum. The bag must be discarded after using on this powder.
There are other cleaner impregnated powders with a larger particle size to use, and not just the typically over-priced items from Dyson.
The Capture appears to be a very fine clay or talc.

Four dogs, very pregnant, a husband who is almost always gone = horrible stains. After I had my baby (now 3 months old) I ent for the hunt of a GREAT product that would eliminate the horrible urine stain in my living room. I decided to try this one (for no ordinary reason) after all the ones i had tried before what difference did it make to buy another one. I tell you I had to use the whole bottle (1lb) on this stain and I had to apply the powder two times but this horrible stain (about 12 in long) is GONE. I am now purchasing the larger containers as this is what I use to clean my carpet routinely. My steam cleaner is taking a well needed break. Just make sure you use the stain pre treatment spray, it makes the job a lot easier.

We have always had light-colored carpets and this is the only product we have found--of many tried-- that effectively removes almost every type of stain. The only stains we have not been able to fully remove with this turned out to be too tough even for our professional cleaners. Simple and easy to use.

I have used this product for years. I have three dogs and 1 cat and many a mess to clean up. Capture is amazing at keeping my carpets clean.

I have used many powdered products and generally found them to be good, saving me a lot of money on professional carpet care. I tried this one just out of curiosity and found it to be much the best. Like other reviewers, I have light carpeting that hss "shadowed" or discolored in a number of areas. Capture Deep proved to be wonderful in clearing these and other stains. It left my carpets bright and noticeably cleaner. Even friends and neighbors noticed. I will criticize it this much. It is a little more difficult to work with. It tends to clump and might not vacuum up as easily as other powders. The extra effort, however, is worth it. I am very satisfied.

Capture carpet cleaner is really the best. I have Berber carpet and the steam machines would not pull the dirty water out of my carpet. Also, I have a pet dog that does have accidents. The Capture removed all the stains even the ones that had been there 3 years. I would highly recommend this product! Easy to use make sure you use the Capture Soil Release Pre-Mist first, then the Capture Carpet Cleaner on the lightly sprayed carpet. Wonderful results!

I've been using Capture for years on my wool berber carpeting. It is the only truly effective stain and soil remover I've used. Just sprinkle, brush, vacuum...and your done...and the stain is gone! I recommend this product highly and give it top ratings.

I bought a canister vacuum 7 years ago and with that came a few samples of this product. The first time I used it I did not think it was going to be able to clean my rug as well as the rented water type cleaner that you get at the hardware store but I was wrong! Not only did this product do a better job then the heavy water using cleaning machine it did not break my back to use it. You vacuum your rug first, then sprinkle Capture on, work it in, let it sit for atleast 30 minutes then vacuum it up....it is that simple. Your rugs is left clean and DRY! I have 3 cats and a family so my rugs take a beating but with Capture I can keep them looking and smelling nice in less than an hour. With the old type cleaners you had to clean your rugs way ahead of time for the Holidays or if company was coming - with Capture you can do it an hour before! I would recommend it anyone who has a rug. I also love that it is non-toxic.

We use Capture on our area rugs and carpets about 1-2 times per year in lieu of calling a carpet cleaning company. We have been consistently pleased with the result for general cleaning. Sometimes our small dog will urinate on the carpet and we will use a Spot Shot type carpet cleaner; however, when the climate is humid, an unpleasant urine smell resurfaces. This is when we use Capture, and it works to get out the smell embedded in the carpet fibers. We cannot comment on how Capture gets rid of deep, old, or difficult stains because we haven't had those problems.

This is the most amazing carpet cleaner I've every used. It works for almost every stain I've tried it on. I epescially like using it on the stairs where the most stains in my home occurs. I had a sample that came with a brush so I bought this big one to refill my smaller container. The brush is very necessary to use this product correctly. They really should include the brush.
