Contemporary Musical Genius at it's pinnacle., December 24, 2007

K.C. Accidental, now flying under the flag of "Broken Social Scene", is one of the most musically gifted groups I've ever heard. K.C. Accidental, formed by Kevin Drew and Charles Spearin, (K+C=K.C., their initials), has produced two records, this, and "Anthems for the Could've Bin Pills", the spiritual (and in the track setup, literal) sequel to this record. This album has wildly inventive tracks, ranging from the rocking opener, "Nancy and the Girdle Boy", then followed up with some Jazz/Swing with the track, "Something for Chicago", to the ending track, "Tired Hands", which, in my opinion, is one of the best album endings of all time. It just makes you feel that loss that album ends should, that something is coming to an end, and then, it just stops.
There are only 6 tracks on this, but it is well worth a listen. It is dynamic, dramatic, and real. It makes you believe in music again.
I must stress one thing before you buy: Make sure you buy the album, "Anthems for the Could've Bin Pills" (also on Amazon), because they complete each other. From the beginning of this, to the end of "Could've Bin Pills", the tracks compliment each other into one large orchestrated incomprehensible display. The tracks sound absolutely amazing, and it's one of the most soothing and amazing artist creations ever imagined.
tl;dr Go, buy! You will be amazed!
