Wild, Sweet and Cool,
This review is from: Captured by Charybdis (Paperback)
Having gained a taste for the bizarre from the books moonspawn and moonslave, I decided to try more of this authors stuff and I was exceedingly impressed. The undersea realm of Charybdis is brilliant. I loved the settings and especially the characters. Mina is one ultra sexy babe! I've never seen a book where the lead submissive character is so full of depth, so powerful and also so lethal. She'd make an awesome Bond girl. A definate classic.

Hope you can swim!!,

The story is so vivid that you actually feel yourself being taken into the depths of Project Charybdis! The writer really takes you into the minds of the characters, dresses you in their flesh, and lets you experience the twisted events and sexy majesty of the place.

So much fun under the sea,
By Veronica Young (England) - See all my reviews

A luscious and tough secret agent who isn't the usual bumbling sub bimbo and her seduction into an underwater world of perversity. A delightful debauched read with rounded and imaginative characters, fast paced action and wicked sexy deeds. A wonderful book. :)

Amazingly bad,

I bought this book because the plot sounded interesting, though there were no reader reviews to help. Let me be the first to warn the rest of you: I don't think I have ever read a worse-written piece of prose. I can't believe it actually got printed (just goes to show we could all be published authors if this is the standard we have to meet). I did not come anywhere close to finishing the book because it was so badly written as to be intolerable. Literally every sentence has word misusage, clumsy phrasing, grammatical errors, cliched imagery, puerile ideas. It truly could serve in a writing class as an entire casebook of how not to write. There was so much misuse of even ordinary words that I wondered if perhaps the writer is not a native speaker, but I think that maligns people who learn English as a second language. Lest you think I am exaggerating, let me quote one paragraph:"The woman was into her early thirties, her features a sculpted mask of indifference, a facade of impartiality that made it difficult for even Mina's highly tuned senses to read anything off of. Her head was shaven near to the scalp, the slight dark fuzz across the near smooth dome providing a lush carpet and a more severe edge to her already intimidating demeanour. Her cosmetics were dark, set to heighten her uncompromising attitude, her features locked, their allure contrasted by radical intent." This is virtually gibberish. And it's all like this. It's like hearing an orchestra playing a piece of music (the English language, in this case) with so many wrong notes that it is intolerable to listen to. Save yourself nine bucks and find something else in "adult fiction" area to read. Literally everything I've read in this genre is better-written.

What planet are you from?,
By kaitlyn shaw (San Francisco, CA, USA) - See all my reviews

Personally, I loved it. After buying the first part I was dubious about the sequel because they so rarely live up to the first book but I gave it a whirl anyway. I enjoyed the characters and didn't find anything that offensive about the prose. So it has a few words longer than four letters in it...wow, I think I can handle that.

Smart and Sexy!,

An unbelievable, surreal world created by this author proves to me that some authors are truly a cut above! For those who love women in latex and unusual ways to dress in latex - this novel is for you. Very erotic and yet a smart story with intelligent characters! This author truly takes you to a different level (pun intended!) when it comes to erotiscm.

A delightful lead character and an excellent plot. Hot and varied action of every kind throughout. A unique piece of erotica. Well worth purchasing.
