5.0 out of 5 stars None better-buy it
I've been making pizza at home for over 30 years. I have eaten pizza all over Italy. All the good pizza books recommend double zero flour. This is the best flour I've ever used. Case closed.

PS. Use San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and fresh basil on your pizza. Do it, period!

3.0 out of 5 stars I think it is okay
I think it is okay. If you are in America, just stick with bread flour or all purpose. If you have 00 in your local store, try it out, it is okay. It makes a good thin crust pizza. You will need a really hot oven to go with it. I like "all purpose" better. You may be better off with a "special" yeast as well. I use Red Star and it just doesn't rise like I expect...

This by far is the best Flour if you want a great pizza. If you are into making your owen pizza dough this is the flour to use. Its a bit pricy but it is worth the extra cost for the best pizza dough. Enjoy!

This is great 00 flour for making pasta, and yes- you can tell the difference in your home made pasta between this and regular flour off the store shelf. The price was better than I could find anywhere else online, and unfortunately the only retailer selling it wanted twice per pound what this cost. Delivery was quick too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pizza flour, February 13, 2011

I love this flour! I initially learned of OO flour by watching the food channel. I had never used it before and just thought that I would give it a try. I am so glad that I did. It is a bit pricey but the flavor definitely makes up the extra money that you spend on it. If you make your own pizza crust or pasta noodles, I would recommend giving this flour a try.

I guess I do! I didn't think there was a difference in "bread" flour, but based on many tries with many different flours and recipes for pizza on the grill this pizza flour really does make the best pizza dough. It was easy to mix, pliable, rose very nicely, and most of all, baked very well. I can't really believe I'm buying special flour to make pizza on the grill, but I am, and will continue to do so!

I don't need ten bags of any flour when I order anyway. Try it, maybe you will like it better than me. It is much better than whole wheat flour for pizza. 00 does okay. All purpose is better for pizza.

This is an excellent flour, but not the best for pizza. This is more suitable for pastry, whereas the Type 0 flour would provide a better texture for pizza crust.
