The Good: Strong, durable design that is clearly made to last. The inside of each socket is lit with a blue LED which can be useful at night. 15 amp support that helps you avoid overloading the device (best in its class).

The Not So Good: The blue LED on the outside of the device gets annoying after a while. No swivel option in the design of the adapter plug that would allow you to flip the female socket-end forward.

What can I say? Five stars for being simple and effective. It's also hard not to appreciate the price.

I purchased this adapter for use in a '07 dodge and it worked out just great. What may make my situation different from other reviewers is the aux outlet in my vehicle is in the floor. With this in mind, this adapter is great to face upwards and provide dual power to my satellite radio and radar detector.

Purchasing this product I was fully aware that it does not adjust, but in a different vehicle under different circumstances; I could see that it might present a problem with this product lacking with regard to bending flexibility. For the quality and simple fact that it works for my situation, I give it five stars.

Cons
Because of fixed head design, it works only a certain way in certain cars.
In my 02 Honda Civic it can face to the left towards driver door, right towards the passenger door or down towards the cup holder, but not up, towards the ceiling.
In my 98 Chrysler Cirrus, the head can only face down into the cup holder. This can be a major drawback, if your car plug is to close (height wise) to the cup holder.

Over all happy with purchase. It does it job, but please check positioning needs before purchasing. Will try to post pics soon.

Return another brand adapter which almost shorted my unit. This one works well for the price. The tip can be extended about .5 inch for deeper plugs.

This is so superior to the splitter I was using previously that had two 12V outlets dangling from a male 12V plug. Wires everywhere. It was a mess. Looking for alternatives everything seemed like it would be large and protrude into the cabin space thereby being unattractive and interfering with other necessities, like operating the shifter. This guy is offset 90 degrees so the 12V plugs are on the "side" of the unit. Works like a charm.

The head might be larger then you think so better check if you have enough clearance around the car outlet.

I constantly need multiple power outlets in my car and I've tried a few different models, but this one is the best for me. The simple design allows it to fit snuggly into my cigarette lighter and stay compact, unlike other models with bendable connectors, which are just too big and bulky. The light illuminates nicely so I know it's on. For the price you can't beat this simple, yet solid product.

Keep in mind it does not bend or twist, so ensure your area in the car will fit this.

This is the best little car accessory I have purchased in a long time. It does not have a fuse and I was specifically looking for one that does not. The last Y adapter I had overheated from the resistance created by the separate connections for the fuse stack-up of the spring, fuse, connectors, etc. I have a 15A fuse in my car for the lighter so I did not need the fuse in the adapter. This works perfectly in my 2004 Audi A4 and it's as if it was made for it. I run about 160W max and it runs really cool. The LED pilot light creates more heat than running the device. I have not tried the maximum which I think is 180W. It's a really great design that utilizes the stamped sheet metal parts as the conductors.

I disagree with other reviewers that give this a low rating because it does not fit their car. This was not designed to fit every car but it is a very smart design for those of us that can accommodate it.

I think that another reviewer said that the plug was too short but did not mention whether they tried the built-in extension adjustment. If you throw the instructions away there is really no clue on the lighter plug itself, but you can twist the end counter-clockwise and pull the tip out to two additional lengths (3 total). When the lighter plug is at the desired length just turn it clockwise to lock it at that length. I did not need that feature for my Audi.

For some reason there is little information on a lot of these 12V accessories. It is difficult to determine amps, watts, or even wire size so that one could calculate the capacity. I am thankful for the Amazon reviews which gave me more information than the item descriptions. This item was an exception and clearly states that it is rated for 15 amps.

OK for the price but not top quality. Feels kind of flimsy and hard to plug in and unplug. I ended up buying another style.
