This is a book for you new grandmothers, ways we can guide & share in the spiritual walk with our grandchildren!

All Grandma's, this book is for you! The author has written helpful advice for any Grandma who is unsure of her place in her grandkids lives. She explains that prayer is the key to being a great Grandma. The author provides a list of 30 topics you can pray about. You can take one topic each day for a month and pray for that area in your grandkids life. Some topics include freedom from jealousy, kindness, courage, passion for God, and gratefulness.

While prayer is important, so is spending time with them. Here are some ideas this Grandma had for your time with the grandkids. You could set up an obstacle course, throw water balloons, or even take them on a treasure hunt. She stresses that it is really the simple things they will enjoy the most. Take the time to go on walks with them or just sit out and look at the night sky.

She emphasis's that the most important task for you is to be their cheerleader. Always be certain to say things like, I sure do love you, I'm so proud of you, and I like your smile. A Car Seat in My Convertible is an uplifting book and a perfect gift for any Grandma!

As a "young" grandmother of four, I needed this book! Back when I was the mother of two little girls, I envisioned my future as a stay-at-home grandma who baked cookies and clipped coupons while the grandkids played under my feet. It never occured to me that I'd actually have a life! But here I am, eager to be the grandmother I need to be, but finding it hard to do everything I know I need to do.

I was hooked as soon as I read the chapter titles. From "Bathe Them in Prayer" to "Be Remembered as a Fun, Gutsy Grandmom" to "Never Give Up on Your Grandchildren--or Their Parents," each chapter and its stories hit me right where I am.

But the message woven throughout is the one that grabbed me at the heart: "Let the legacy you leave be your life." Sharon asks, "When we look back over our lives, what will we consider the most important of all we did?" I know the answer. I want my life to echo in eternity. This book is helping me do that.

In this wonderful little book, author Sharon Hoffman shares her wisdom on influencing the spiritual lives of your grandchildren. It was a fun read and it also really made me think of the opportunity that I will have to influence the lives of my grandchildren. I need to start planning now! I especially liked the section on how to be a great long-distance grandparent.
