The colors are brilliant and they mix easily and beautifully with water. Drawings can be blended with a wet brush; or you can use them directly on paper that has been soaked in water. They are also ideal for monoprints- simply create a drawing on plexiglass wet your watercolor paper or printmaking paper lay the wet paper over the drawing on plexiglass and burnish with a wooden spoon. The wet paper picks up the Neocolor drawing from the plexiglass. An amazing and fun to use medium!This intro set of 10 colors makes a terrific travel set. Bring this along with you as an alternative to pan watercolors or colored pencils. Of course it is also an ideal set for starting out with watersoluble crayons.

I love the caran d'ache colors and used them this time for monotypes and they were wonderful! This is a great starter set but once you buy it you will want more colors!

I tried this product last week and felt the colours did not blend well and almost always left heavy lines that would not fade away with water and brush applications. I am glad I did not buy a big set.

Works well as face paint
I bought these to use as face paint. I love to carry these and a paintbrush with me in my bag and pull them out to do cheek art on my daughters' & their friends' faces.
