A Caravan must read! March 16, 2009
By Pete
Format:Paperback
As a Cessna Caravan Standardization Instructor Pilot for a Government Agency, I found this book to be a wealth of knowledge. The author has gathered an amazing amount of information on this aircraft from Cessna Inc, the NTSB, and all the people who have shared their experiences in flying this amazing aircraft.

Although I have over 2000 hours flying a Caravan, I have found this book to have many intricate details on the Caravan which I never knew of. The book is packed with all sorts of great tips to help even the most experienced Caravan pilot perform his job more safely.

The author spent many years collecting the information to finally put it all in one book. This book not only provides specific tips to fly this machine, but will also make for an interesting read for that person who is interested in how this workhorse has become so popular all around the world.

This book is a "must read" by all pilots. Having flown many aircraft, from a Cessna 152 to a World War II bi-plane to corporate King Airs/light jets and international commercial flying for TWA on a Boeing 757/767, my life as a pilot was incomplete ... until ... I flew a Cessna 208 - Caravan (I have chair flown the Caravan through the words and description found in the book "Caravan" - vivid, details throughout the text). I never knew how much of a workhorse this airplane is - bush flying, exploration, patrol, air ambulance, sky diving, sea plane, military, sightseeing, corporate, commuter airline, cargo, missionary and humanitarian flying - unbelievable the capabilites of "ONE" aircraft.

As a new Caravan Pilot, this book is invaluable. Lots of great, useable tips and well organized. The authors are obviously highly expereinced in Caravan systems and operations and present their information clearly.
