Book Description

May 1, 2007
In 1970 hippy philosopher-teacher Stephen Gaskin adjourned his open, weekly meetings (referred to as Monday night class) and left San Francisco on a speaking tour of the U.S. He was accompanied by 250 students in a caravan of 50 buses and assorted campers. Together they traveled over 8,000 miles as Stephen spoke at colleges and churches about peace, love and understanding, and the changes that were sweeping the country. Here are the original transcripts of that historic journey along with Caravan meetings and Stephen's commentary from todays perspective.

5.0 out of 5 stars a series of mind blowing lectures, meetings, and talks., July 20, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The caravan
The Caravan is a compilation of talks given in 1970 & 71. It is some straight speaking and a lot of question and answer. It covers everything from sex, drugs, politics, and hippies, to child birth, meditation, and a good way of thinking and being. The book started as a big class of hippies, then they took their message on the road. They say up to fifty school buses and forty other assorted vehicles. They meat a lot of people, and tried to bridge the gap between the common folks and the scarey long hairs.
