Several years ago I lost 20pds doing a low-carb diet. As you can imagine, I was thrilled; however, I quickly discovered that the only way to maintain my weight loss was to continue eating low-carb. Now, I love eating low-carb (there are tons of great recipes out there), but sometimes you just want to eat regular food like everybody else. I had tried various types of carb cycling without much success. This book sounded promising so I figured I'd give it a shot.

Basically, the plan goes like this: Monday & Tuesday: low-carb; Wednesday - normal carb; Thursday & Friday: low-carb; Saturday - breakfast & lunch are low-carb, with dinner being normal carb; Sunday - normal carb. The author uses science to explain why this method of carb cycling is best, and from my personal experience trying this method, it really does work. Now, I was already at my goal weight when I started this method, so I can't brag about how much weight I've lost. I will say that I can now enjoy eating carbs several times a week without gaining any weight, which for me is a miracle, since I have been unable to successfully re-introduce carbs into my diet for years.

I would like to mention that it is better to get the paperback as opposed to the Kindle version, since the Kindle version is missing some of the material in the appendix (which some people might find useful).

A friend of a friend told me about the Carb Cycle and told me to check it out. I was hesitant at first because I have tried diets before but end up failing and then feeling guilty about it ..so i told myself i was just gonna read it and deiced after no commitment, no pressure, no big thing. I started reading, it took me about a week to finish the book but i ended up starting the diet after the first night of reading, it just seemed so easy.
It is!! I have been on the diet for about 5 weeks now when I started I was between sizes 10 and 12 depending on the pants ..last week i got my first pair of jeans in a size 8 and they are not stretchy jeans!!!! I don't think i have worn a size 8 since high school!!!! My boyfriend loves it and tells me how great I look all the time!!!
I Have always worked out around 3 days a week but I work out more now because i have more energy so its less of a struggle for me to get out of bed in the mornings and work out so now Im up to 5 days a week and some times weekends and its only improving the results I see and the way I feel.
if you have done everything and nothing seems to work and you tiered of trying to starve yourself or eating in some crazy way that doesn't feel natural and never leaves you satisfied, give the Carb Cycle shot its working for me and i don't even feel like Im on a diet!!!

on a side note i love my kindle!!!!! i didn't think i would cus Im not what you would call techy but it great easy to use and i love it!!!!!

I've read a few books on Carb cycling and this is the most simple to implement, and the easiest to follow. Plus it works! And the fact that I get Sundays off seals the deal for me. I've lost weight and I get to eat cheeseburgers or pizza or ice cream on Sundays. What more can I ask for in a "diet" plan? I recommend this book for anyone who is sick to death of low carb, and anyone else who wants to lose weight and not give up carbs. 5 stars!

Hi I'm Josef. This is the 3th year that I'm visiting almost every day the gym and my body looked always quite good. I tried also countless diets. I thought that the no carb diet works best for me, but with that diet a stopped to enjoy my life. I couldn't eat anymore all the things i really liked. Started do study all the nutritions fact also on bubble gums and one of my friend saw that and he gave me a slap on the back of the head and in that moment I woke up. I started again browsing the web for healthier and more fun diets. Diets which are easy do tom healthy and I can continue it for the rest of my life. And somehow I found this book and I thought I can start to read it and the 9$ will not hurt my wallet. The book is really easy understandable (maybe you can see that english is not my mother tongue) and gives you tips which you can easy remember or fallow. After reading I started immediately with my new diet. Actually, I don't like to call it diet, cause now it is my lifestyle and I feel great. For example, after my carb diets I have around 14% fat and I can't believe that I achieved now 9% fat without losing muscles. I would like to post some pictures, which I mad before and after, but I can't do it here! I never thought before that I can lose weight with eating carbs, but this books showed me the opposite!
I really can recommend it.............!
