4.0 out of 5 stars Not for the weak minded.
This book is entry-level for the shooter that wants to go beyond the entertainment quality of shooting. It was not written in a way to excite the reader into satisfying his/her need to expend emotional energy related to firearms. It is the beginning of a mind set that is needed to hone shooting skills that go beyond the average, weekend shooter. It serves its purpose...

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok book, not that much information.
Was hoping for some greater information on how to "Hit Hard and Fast in Combat". He presented extremely basic approaches to shooting. Can sum up the book with 1) Stance, 2) Aim, and 3) Shoot all threats. That's it. No in depth on scenarios etc. If you are looking for a quick summary of the basics, this book is for you.

I was disappointed in this small book. I didn't learn anything new from it, and doubt that anyone would except for brand new shooters.

Steve Moses trains civilians and law enforcement in the practical use of lethal weapons. CARBINE AND SHOTGUN SPEED SHOOTING is a very well written "How to" on a very complex subject. Firing weapons--of any kind--isn't something a person should take lightly, after all a gun is designed for one thing and one thing only. Mr. Moses puts those details in a simple easily understood manner. If you are thinking of purchasing one of these weapons for the purpose of protecting you and your family then you must take lessons from a certified instructor and you must read this book.
