Carbon Express Cocking Winch for X-Force and Carbon Express Crossbows : The Carbon Express Cocking Winch is designed to fit on all Carbon Express and 850, 800, and 500 X-force model crossbows and makes cocking a crossbow super easy and convenient. Simply slide the winch into the stock, hold down the anti reverse lever, extend the cables to the crossbow string, and crank the string back until the string locks into place. The anti reverse locking system prevents any crank handle reverse spin or accidents. Requires only 9.5 lbs of force to operate. Comes with a carry bag.

The Cocking winch works with all X-Force and covert crossbows by Carbon Express. Although it is easy to attach, use, and detach it leaves room for improvement. All other crossbow cocking winches I am aware of have a guide that fits into the grove in the crossbow barrel to ensure it stays centered as you cock the bow. The Carbon Express cocking winch does not and can float freely to one side or the other as you cock the bow. I have to ensure the bow string is aligned correctly each time I cock the bow with this winch. My winch always pulls the string approximately 1/8th inch off center to the left when fully cocked. I do not know if the winch has two different lenghts of strings (one for left and one for right) or if my brand new factory set bow is out off time and needs tuned. The pro archery technician at Dunns sporting goods discovered this since I was not hitting the same mark consistantly. He marked the stings on the outer edges of the barrel of the crossbow when not cocked and then coocked the bow and showed me the error. So I cock the bow and relocate the bow string by hand alaigning the marks with the barrel to ensure consistant results when shooting. He advise me to shoot a hundred times and return the bow for inspection. Still I may have to place some guides on the cocking device to ensure consistant cocking. Nevertheless, this is the only cocking winch that will work with carbon express crossbows and I am pleased to have it.
