Upon recieving my tomahawk it had a really bad nick to the blade and the tomahawk blade was glued to the handle , And soon broke free upon sharpening it!

The handles are glued into the head and do not protrude through the head of the hawk!

Caveat Emptor! These tomahawks pictured are NOT the ones you will get! The handles are glued into the head and do not protrude through the head of the hawk! Cheap Pakastani garbage!

The product that arrived was not as pictured or described. It was a much lower quality and broke soon. I contacted the manufacturer and they discovered that what I was sent was actually a different product number and that Amazon must have something mixed up in their system. I shipped the (broken) axe back and am waiting to see if they return the axe that I thought I was buying in the first place. No word yet ( it has been two weeks since I sent it back).

These are not high quality tomahawks. I bought 2 for my son for Christmas. The heads were loose after a few throws. The handle on one broke after 5 or 6 throws. We were throwing them into a 3x6 douglas fir board.

i found this hawk in the budk catalog and in the box it had a warning label that said,"WARNING: Razor sharp!" i then found it on amazon and ordered it. when i received the hawk it was as dull as it gets, and i mean dull. there was an 1/8 inch flat spot on the blade (or where the blade was supposed to be). After sharpening it to a point after three throws the head had come loose and slipped down the handle, and the handle began to split. i had to put a screw in the handle on both sides of the head and wrap the handle in 550 paracord to try to slow the splitting handle. with all of this, i still don't feel like i should throw it again until i get the hickory handles that i ordered.

after all the work i put into it and after i get a good handle on it i believe it will be a decent hawk. but it would have been easier to just order the 35 dollar one with a hickory handle and get the free shipping.

tomahawk met description had oval poll and handle which keeps it from turning in you hand when chopping at oblique angles. grain in handle correct. wish handle was not glued in. - would be easier to sharpen without handle. not using as thrower. using as light carry camp axe

Bought this for my oldest grandson for Christmas. He is a natural and, with proper practice, he could be great. We'll wait and see.
