4.0 out of 5 stars Very Cute!!!, July 24, 2002
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Cardcaptor Sakura #4 (Paperback)
Cardcaptor Sakura is a manga made by the ladies of CLAMP. I'll skip introducing the plot, because I'm sure no one needs to read it again. I've read the first 5 volumes of the manga and I've seen 39 episodes of the anime(subtitled of course). I like this series a lot. CCS is very cute and funny but is serious enough that I don't get sick of it. I have two gripes, though. 1 is that Tokyopop aren't exactly, umm, the best translators out there. My 2nd gripe has to do with the plot itself. Why is Sakura's world so perfect? She's popular at school, her friends adore her, and she seems like the perfect daughter. It would be a bit more interesting if she had some problems other than the Clow Cards. (Yeah, even though she's incredibly sweet, I think I'm beginning to dislike Sakura a bit) Now this normally would take a lot out of the rating, but everything else in this series is so well done that it *almost* makes up my little gripe. And the artwork is absolutely superb!! I recommend it, but I don't think CCS is CLAMP's best series.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Fourth Book!, July 15, 2001

MAA! This book was mojorly kawaii (Japanese for cute) and I simply loved it. If you're a fan of Sakura and Syaoran then you'll love it, because it's got some really cute moments in there, also with Sakura and Yukito! ::giggles:: Sooo cute!

Anyways, you'd better read the first three first though, or it'd be very hard to understand. In this one she captures three cards, The Maze, The Glow and The Erase. Very kawaii!

5.0 out of 5 stars more Cardcaptor goodness..., July 3, 2004

I'm sure that a lot of reviewers have explained the events of this book very well, so I won't bother in my review. This series is really addictive, as long as you're okay with incredibly cute characters and character interaction. Everyone is just adorable, even when they happen to be adults. The facial expressions on all the characters are excellent. If you like one of the Cardcaptor books, I think it would be really hard not to want to get them all, since CLAMP often gives you just enough character relationship information in one book to have you wanting more. The plots of the Cardcaptor books aren't all that complex, but it's not the plots that are the most important part of the Cardcaptor series. A big part of the series is the character interactions, how everyone's relationships with others develops. That's why I keep reading the series - I want to know how things turn out with everyone!
