This review is from: Cardcaptor Sakura, Vol. 12: The Final Judgement (DVD)
In Cardcaptor Sakura: Vol. 12 - Final Judgement, our young heroine has her heart broken. Viewers' hearts will break along with her. This DVD contains the last three episodes of the second season of the show. The first two episodes on the disc are intense, dark, and a bit violent. Kereberos reveals to Sakura that although she has captured all of the Clow Cards, there is one final step to determine if she will be the cards' master. Yue the Judge must arrive and make the final decision. Who Yue really is, and what this means for Sakura, is unbearable. Sakura must battle with Yue for her life - but how can she - when her reason to live has been taken away? The last episode gives us a glimpse of the third season. We have a new character, a British exchange student named Eriol. He is suave and intelligent, and seems to have taken a liking to Sakura, which agitates Li Shaoran.

The Final Judgment, and then some!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Cardcaptor Sakura, Vol. 12: The Final Judgement (DVD)
Hi all! Today it's Cardcaptor Sakura--The Final Judgment!I'll start by saying that this DVD contains the best and most intense episodes of all CCS-dom (my saying CCS-dom is kind of funny, if you consider Sakura's role in Tsubasa). I remember the days of the Nelvana dub, and I remember how, when I first saw that the Final Judgment would be shown one episode a week for three straight Saturdays, that commercial became the almost-literal focus of my existence. I was obsessed with the Final Judgment before and after I actually saw the episodes, and to this day the three of them are still dearest to my heart (my favorite captures are: Sweet; Sleep; Dash; Sword; Float; Voice; Cloud; Firey; the special Japan-only episode involving Sakura and Yukito going on a scavenger hunt; and, of course, the pilot episode). So yes, the Final Judgment is great, and those three episodes get the five stars this whole DVD should have gotten. Should have. Okay, so you know the Final Judgment also means the Final Three Episodes of Season 2, right? There are four episodes on this DVD, as is the norm, but as you've probably figured out by now, one of those episodes was the first episode of Season Three. When *I* figured that out, I was VERY unhappy. I know it's not Amazon's fault; they're just the ones selling it. But there should not have been ANY episodes of Season 3 on a Season 2 disc. It's just sloppy, in my opinion. But anyway, guys and girls, if you can get around that small slip of Judgment (haha), this DVD is well worth paying for! Enjoy! Elissachan has spoken.

This is a very good installment of Cardcaptor Sakura. It contains the conclusion to the second season and the start of the third, which has an entirely different layout compared to the first two.I cried towards the end of the third episode when the Song card hummed Yoru no Uta in the background and Sakura was trying to remember her ichiban suki na hito.. It was a very emotional episode. If you knew about the plot but could only watch one Japanese DVD of Cardcaptor Sakura, I would recommend this one! If anything, you HAVE to listen to the new ending theme, "Fruits Candy". It always gets stuck in my head! The dubbed version of these episodes really, really pale in comparison to this. There, I went through a whole review of this DVD without mentioning the title once and with only ONE semi-spoiler!

The Final Judgement was awesome!!! Yue was cold, calculating and nothing like his alternate form, the kindhearted Yukito. Even though you get the impression that he wanted to destroy Sakura during the trials, it was more of a test to see if she deserved to be the new master of the Clow Cards. What a test, after hitting her with a barrage ice and slamming her from one part of Tokyo Tower to the next, she eventually manages to turn tide and beat the judge...yay ^_^. Sakura told Yue the she didn't want to become their master, but rather a friend, awwwww. This in turn surprises him and he accepts her as their new master. Now a new transfer student has arrived named Eroil Hiragizawa and seems very friendly with Sakura, which also makes Li extremely jealous. Sakura's brother Touya also has a new transfer student named Nakura Akizuki joining his class and she seems to have an affinity for jumping on his back and giving him great big hugs. Unknown to everyone, with the exception for Touya, these new students are going to cause major problems for our favorite Cardcaptor. I could go on and type more, but why not pick up a copy for yourself and enjoy this really cute anime from the art team of CLAMP.

In this 12th volume of Cardcaptor Sakura, the second season is brought to a fantastic end with these 3 episodes. The cover feature a very familiar Sakura outfit (the one from the dreams) against a orangish-pink background. You get a postcard with the first few pressings as usual. Remember not to continue if you don't like spoilers! ^_^*Sakura, Kero, and the Mysterious Teacher - Sakura and crew get up bright and early to take a gigantic boxed lunch to an archery competition. Of course they're going to see Yukito compete. To their surprise, Kaho Mizuki is also there! The two advance to the finals, followed by a fateful encounter between Kero and Kaho! Sakura is shocked and doesn't know how to explain. Kero doesn't seem so happy about the events to come.... *Sakura and the Final Clow Card - At the end of the archery competition an earthquake rumbles through Tomoeda, threatening to level the city. Earthy, the final Clow Card, makes her debut as Sakura struggles to find a way to seal her. Kero undergoes a major tranfomation at the end of the battle, much to Sakura's surprise, but what's even worse is the appearence of the other guardian Yue. He makes preparations for the Final Judgement as Li faces off against him to see who will be the master of the Clow! *Sakura and the Final Judgement - Having lost all of his Clow Cards to Yue, Shaoran passes the torch to Sakura. She refuses to fight Yue, but is forced into a heated battle anyway. How can she defeat him so that the great tragedy of the Clow Cards isn't unleashed, but rather, what is this tragedy exactly? What's Kaho's purpose in the final trial? I'm not going to spoil this wonderful episode for you. But as Sakura's spell goes, "Everything will be alright" January 7 is the date of the next installment of Cardcaptor Sakura. Join us then, so Release!

This chapter in Sakura's adventure is one I put up there with Sakura and the Sport's Day of Flowers, Sakura and the Rainbow of Memories! The first three episodes all intertwine as one, into which Sakura is going to Toyko to watch Yukito in a turniment, but who else is entered shocks her, and Kero who taged along! As Yue and Kero bite each other's heads off, Sakura is sadden by his apperance, and after Sohyron is defeated, refuses to fight Yue! Because of her relationship with Yue's false form, she fails the judgment. But, as she sees the result of her failer, Song (The song card) sings Tomoyo's song, Sakura realizes that she has one more chance... She compleats the task by great strengh she never has noticed before, and is now the Mistress of the Clow![.] But not after a guest apperance by a very big fan of her's ^_~! But wait a minute[.] Sakura starts a new school year, and a new transfer student shows up. Strange things start to happen around Tomeda, and her staff doesn't work *_*! As a fan of CCS, I can say that the Dubbed version (Cardcaptors) is no where near this.It shows things that the Dub didn't, because in America, we didn't know who Errol really was until near the end of the show![.] I really like the beginging of the third season, and the end for that matter. Nothing beats the original![.]^_~!

The Final Showdown....,

This review is from: Cardcaptor Sakura, Vol. 12: The Final Judgement (DVD)
This is a really cool video. I mean I like all the detail they put on this. Anyways this is about Sakura who captured the last and final card "The Earth". She is now happy and all but Julian transformed into a powerful person named Yue. Sakura did not want to defeat him sense he had his other body as Julian. Sakura had to. This was the final showdown as Sakura used one of the clow cards "The Wood" and thought that this would end but she was wrong, Yue had used his powers and turned The Wood card back to her. She thought that she was going to loose but then her teacher Mrs. Mackenzie helped her when Mrs. Mackenzie used one of her powers. (Its some kind of thing she holds in her hand but anyways) When Sakura got untangled from the vines of The Wood card Sakura hold the staff up and turned the staff into a star staff. Sakura used one of her cards "The Windy" and the card transfromed into a star card. The Windy captured Yue. Yue was now friends with Sakura and Sakura's friends. Now as Sakura turns clow cards into star cards her journey will end. (This is not in this video but after Sakura had done all this there was a transformed student from England named Eli, Sakura thought there was something strange about Eli.) Anyways this video contains three parts: Part 1, Part 2 and The Final Judgement. You will enjoy this video. (This is in english subtitle but its the best of them all)

This movie is a awsome movie! It's about when Sakura captured the last card called 'The Earth' card, Kero the Guardian Beastevolved to his true form 'Keroberos'. Sakura was suprised that Kero evolved to Keroberos and she captured all the card's but she had to defeat this guy named Yue. Julian is Yue because when Sakura captured the last card Julian turned into the guy Yue. Now Sakura has to defeat Yue 'cause if she doesn't then the card's will be scatered and Sakura wont know about the card's and they will all destroy the world. Will Sakura defeat Yue? Find out when you get this really cool tape. (Also, Lee, Madison and Keroberos can't help Sakura defeat Yue). |
