5.0 out of 5 stars A series that has something for everyone, January 5, 2007
This review is from: Cardcaptor Sakura, Vol. 3 (Cardcaptor Sakura Authentic Manga) (Paperback)
Cardcaptor Sakura is one of those books you can pick up anytime anywhere. It grabs your attention with its comedic characters, underlying romances and quick action.

It's a manga recommended for all ages but that doesn't make it a simple children's story. You have hinted boy love and girl love themes, which doesn't go unnoticed by those of us who have ever read such type of manga before. It's not the main focus of the storyline so no one who may be disturbed by this should dismiss this book. It actually makes for some comedic moments between Sakura and Li over Yukito and lightly serious between Yukito and Toya.

What really grabs you in Cardcaptor Sakura is the beautiful artwork done by the elite team of CLAMP. Do they ever really disappoint when it comes to the detail of their work, from simple moments between a girl and her stuff animal-like guardian or elements of nature taking human form for battle? And as I've said before, this is a funny series and I look forward to finally finishing the second series of manga of these delightful characters.
