Now Sakura has 15 cards under her control. And only 3 were caught in this volume ~ Maze, Erase and Glow. That leaves 37 cards to be captured in volumes 5 and 6. So no doubt most aren't even shown being captured.

This volume, Sakura finds her way out of the maze with the help of the new teacher, she goes on a Field Trip and a festival distracts her from the more vicious cards. That's the plot in a nutshell.

Overall I thought this volume was a little lacking. It seemed to just fill up a void. But still is a great read.
It's also shown that Li is slowly warming up to Sakura though he admits his feelings for Yukito. And we also find out some background info about Li.

Cardcaptor Sakura has gorgeous art and the storyline is superb. I recommended this series to anyone new to Manga as it's just one of the best series ever out there. If you like CCS, you'll also like Fruits Basket. I guarantee it.

The moral depravity continues in this not-fit-for-children series that was designed for young girls. When Sakura, Li, and Tomoyo are trapped by the Maze Clow Card, they are rescued by their new Math teacher, who is also a shrine priestess with magical powers. The depravity steps in when we find out that she had an affair with Sakura's brother when he was in the 9th grade. And get this, she wasn't his classmate, she was his teacher! Oh geez! And then she dumped him to study abroad. This continues what amounts to a cattle call of adult affairs with underage children and adolescents which seems to be a running theme with Cardcaptor Sakura. Getting past all of the creepy relationships, after dealing with the Maze card, Sakura and company go on a field trip to the beach, and discover a cave where students disappear, never to be heard from again! Is it the work of a Clow Card....or is a real ghost behind it?

Once again, this series would be a pretty generic entry into the magical girl genre, except for the bizarreness of the relationships between the characters. There is something very tabooish lurking underneath the surface of the plot that you can only see out of the corner of your eye. The art is great and has a lot of detail. Very interesting but strange book.
