This is an excellent concise introduction to cardiac catheterization. This book is now in its 4rth edition published in 2003 and includes a wealth of material on the basics of this field. 650 pages encompass 10 chapters on topics such as arterial and venous acess, hemodynamic data, angiographic data, EP studies and ablation, research techniques, special techniques, high-risk cardiac catheterization, and interventional techniques. The book includes specific, how-to information. However, this short text is not intended to fully teach such advanced techniques as catheter ablation or interventional cardiology. Very useful tables and clear diagrams are included (496 illustrations).

This book is highly recommended for newcomers to the field and as a reference text.

Excellent source of material for new and experienced cardiovascular professionals. You can't go wrong with this text!!

rarely comes a book that just hits home run, esp in medical community. this one has everything and the new edition also has all that in COLOR!! complete book with enough info for fellows and for gen cardio boards. great size to carry around in cath lab as well.

As a CVT student I have used this for 3 semesters and probably will for the rest of the program. It's a bible for all things "cath".

The book came was in excellent condition, like new. The book had compliments of Pfizer on the front cover and that should have been documented on the website since this book will be a department copy on file for reference.

As a cath lab nurse, this book has been very helpful with my job. I am constantly referring to the book and sharing it with other nurses!
