Review

From the reviews of the seventh edition:

"...summarizing the rapidly evolving pharmacologic options available for the treatment of cardiovascular disease." -Doody's Book Review, Weighted Numerical Score:92 - 4 Stars

"...a valuable clinical reference" -Doody's Book Review, Weighted Numerical Score:92 - 4 Stars

"This publication focuses on cardiac pharmacotherapy. The intended audience for this text includes cardiologists, internists, and medical residents. The author’s intent is to help physicians understand the pharmacotherapy of various diseases and the differences within cardiovascular drug classes that impact drug selection. … The references … are reasonably updated and predominantly use tertiary sources. … has many useful observations and more drug information than most physician-written books. … This is an interesting book that provides decent clinical and clinical trial observations … ." (C Michael White, The Annals of Pharmacotherapy, Vol. 41, 2007)

5.0 out of 5 stars "cardiology thriller", November 4, 2004

if anyone had told me earlier that entire cardio-vascular therapeutics could be packed into a small pocket-size book of 500 pages, i would have been amused... that is until i read m.gabriel khan's cardiac drug therapy when this amusement changed into amazement. not only this is an excellent, concise and upto-date book on treatment, but it is so easy to read and digest that it appears to be a thriller akin to perry masons's exploits.
his views on beta-blockers and calcium channel blockers are very important and in broad agreement with us.
i think it is by far the most precise and unambigous handbook on cardiovascular treatment i have ever come across.
