Cardiac Surgery by Patricia Seifert is one of the best cardiac books I've found. The explanations are simple and complete. This book can be understood by the lay person and appreciated by the professional. This book is one to have in your personal library. We, on the heart team, keep one on the operating room reference shelf.

This book, while very old in the world of medical books, can still explain the entire process of cardiac surgery. Gives great basic as well as more in depth knowledge in an easy to understand manner. Love this book, it was recommended to me by an RN on my Heart team, and has been a great purchase.
