This game consists of 12 cubes (dice with letters on all 6 sides), a timer, and simple rules. You roll the cubes and make up to 5 3-, 4-, 5- etc. letter words as you can until your hourglass timer runs out. You can adapt it so that younger and older players can compete by restricting the number of cubes for older players. Fun, educational, and addictive. If you love scrabble, you'll really love this game.

I'm a teacher, I played this game when I was a child and loved it! Now I use it in my classroom for reading groups and to make learning fun for low readers as well as advanced readers! It helps students make words, use word association, and many more helpful skills. The best part of all, the kids love it and beg to play!!

Perquacky is a great game. We have introduced so many friends to the game and it's always an instant hit. It looks easy. It looks fascinating. You can't wait for your turn to test your abilities. Certainly you can build 5 three, four and five letter words before your time is up. Of course you can get at least a few 6 or 7 letter words. But once the sand starts running through the hour glass, the tension sets in. All eyes are on you. Will you choke? This game is loads of fun for anyone who can put a word together. You can learn to play in a few minutes, but it will keep you going for hours. As a bonus, it's compact and easy to carry most anywhere.

The game is great fun. However, this particular product I found problematic in that the black dice quickly lost their letter markings. I have several times had to trace over the letters - not a satisfactory solution.

If you like word games, this one is great. We've played it so much over the years and have gotten so good that we've shortened the amount of time you get and raised the number of points you need to use the red tiles! And we're not kids.

I have just bought this product for a friend having had my own game for years. In my opinion it's much more fun than other word games like Scrabble or Boggle because you're playing against the timer and there is a skill in getting bonuses. You can play a complete match in under half an hour but it's very addictive. I recommend this game very highly.

One minor quibble is that I think the new packaging is ridiculous. The extraordinary-shaped tin is far too large for the contents and doesn't close very well. The previous boxed version was much more sensible.

Unfortunately this game is not available in the UK so I got this on a recent trip to the States, where I first bought my own game. Next time I think I'll get half a dozen as gifts.

Cardinal's game of Perquacky far exceeds any expectations a learning game would have normally. It is equally as fun to play the game with others or by oneself. It intertwines a great spelling tool with percision and timing and of course an unexpected amount of personal challenge and fun.

Thank you Cardinal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My grandmother introduced me to this game and I have been playing since I was very young and I am 30-something now. It is lots of fun. It is also very educational because it helps you broaden your vocabulary and you can't outgrow the game. It is versatile enough to play with your young child then take it to adult's game night.
