by clinicians for clinicians,
This review is from: Cardiothoracic Critical Care, 1e (Hardcover)
If your looking for a text that is to the point and is written by clinicians for clinicians then this text is for you. It should be prescribed for any nurse doing intensive care or cardiac post graduate course work and should be in every units library. It provides excellent coverage of issues relevant to any cardiac or general intensive care with up to date references. Its good to find a book that for once is not 10 000 pages long and does not break your arms caring it. It is a pity there is not more color inside in the diagrams but I am guessing that is the difference between a price of $300 vs $90 and the text does not suffer for it. Recommended ++

This book is great for anyone looking to enter CT nursing practice, or experienced nurses looking to delve deeper into why they do what they do. Detailed and systematic. Great buy!

This is probably the best textbook for cardiology/cardiac surgery ICU units; not too expensive, and not overly wordy. I highly recommend it for all ICU physicians and pharmacists.

Comprehensive review of topics with easy to read text. A good book for beginners in cardiothoracic posting and quick reviews for consultants. However, as most authors are from New Zealand, it tends to focus on the views of consultants from one country. Perhaps a better mixture of authors from around the world would give a better picture. Otherwise, it's a good buy
