The Caardiothoracic SurgeryResident Pocket Survival guide,
By
This review is from: The Cardiothoracic Surgery Resident Pocket Survival Guide (Paperback)
This is a good handbook for residents. The text covers a lot of grounds for students who are going to take the exam. But before you buy it, please look at the size carefully, you will find that it is smaller than your own
palm and very thin: only a few pages. Think, how much could it really covers. It is a con. It does not worth it at this price. It should be a free distribution or something to go with some larger text book you bought.

Simple and superficial guide. Just for students, not for residents in Cardiothoracic Surgery.

It is just a little book made for interns, not cardiothoracic surgery residents, not even general surgery residents interested in cardiothoracic surgery. It takes me more money to send it back that keeping it, else I would wanted my money back. I do not Recommend this book for residents.

A real lifesaver !,

As a 3rd year resident this book was invaluable. I strongly recommend it to all surgical residents and 3rd or 4th year medical students. The first author is a practicing thoracic surgeon and the second a cardiologist. Excellent and practical editors. The drug tables and dosing are practical as well

Not the right book,
This review is from: The Cardiothoracic Surgery Resident Pocket Survival Guide (Paperback)
I received the CCU intern pocket survival guide and not the cardiothoracic surgery resident guide. I will have to contact the seller to correct this mistake.

good Idea with many pitfalls,
This review is from: The Cardiothoracic Surgery Resident Pocket Survival Guide (Paperback)
The idea of this book is very good to have a manual with this great size in yous pocket. It is a good source for residents. but thre are many spelling mistakes and many unexplained abbreviations that make undersstanding some points a liitle pit difficult
