Great headset - Works great,
By Mike "Mikey" (California) - See all my reviews Mounting the clamp to my HJC flip face helmet was very easy and it has stayed secure after 2000 miles. It took 3 tries to get it to pair with my LG Dare, but has worked fine ever since. Only problem I had was the speaker volume, which was very weak inside my HJC thermoplastic helmet at speed. I added a 1/2" thick piece of foam to the ear pocket and mounted the speakers closer to my ears instead of mounting them against the shell. Worked so well I had to lower the volume setting! I now hear everything clearly at 80+mph on the freeway. Also like the fact you can easily remove the unit for charging and security. Only gave it 4 stars because the controls are not that intuitive for some people. My passenger has a hard time remembering where to press and for how long.

This review is from: Cardo Systems System Scala Rider Q2 Multi-Headset Communicator System SRMS002
My wife is a novice rider, I just bought her bike 2 months ago, so we've been tandem riding. I wouldn't think of doing it without the ability to communicate road hazards or sudden turns.
We field tested this on our first "long" trip to Luckenbach. Yes, the Luckenbach, I don't need to say more. It was invaluable to keep us together on the road. My only complaints would be as follows: 1. There is a definite sound difference between bluetooth phone and the Intercom. When switching, I need to adjust the volume, as one is too soft or too loud. 2. My FM Station memory resets every time I turn the device off. 3. I get poor signal using the MP3 cable. Also...if you use an iPhone, don't expect to be able to use voice activiation. Even the new 3.0 software won't allow this. A hint, the bike shops ask about 450 plus tax for this set. On here...it's a steal.

I am the passenger on my husband's motorcycle and it has been so frustrating not being able to talk to each other. Our local motorcycle shop had the Scala Rider Q2 set for $395.95 and I said I'm gonna look on Amazon to see if I can find them cheaper. Of course I did and it was the best money I've ever spent. My husband is technically challenged so he needed something that was easy to use. What's easier than attaching the the mike to the helmets, charging the battery, turning it on and talking to each other immediately. The clarity is fantastic!!! We've gone 70 mph and continued to talk without a problem. You can't even hear the wind. The Scala Rider CARDO Q2 is AWESOME!!!
