4.0 out of 5 stars Good Bluetooth Headset
This is my first bluetooth headset, and I wasn't disappointed. Fairly good quality at $25! The fit is OK, not great and sometimes I find the earpiece dangling off my ear. It's certainly not for active wear. The Cardo Scala 500 is supposed to have a better fit because it is designed for outdoors.

Good sound quality - I can hear the caller and they can hear me...

2.0 out of 5 stars If you want quality..no. Cheap...yes
I purchased this after the 2 Motorola HS850's died. I had them for years. Unfortunately, Motorola changed what they thought was a good headset and the new ones aren't that great.

So while at a store, I purchased the Scala 600. It was very cheap ($25), looked good and seemed like it had what I wanted.

My BIGGEST complaint is this thing has its own ringer and after I connect, it still continues to ring for another 3-4 seconds in my ear. Even though the cell phone has connected, you can't speak either.

My second complaint (actually tied with first) is it takes 10 SECONDS to turn the unit on if its off. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I have to actually answer the phone and then tell people to hang on. Who ever designed this feature is a moron.

My third complaint is range. I can have my cell phone on the opposite side of my body and people can't hear me.

And last, the sound quality (both incoming and outgoing) is horrible. I do wonder if the unit got better reception, if the sound would improve. Sometimes it gets so bad, I remove the bluetooth pair and then reinstall it. Sometimes it Improves things.

Im using a brand new LG VX10000 Vogager. I even replaced the phone once thinking it was the phone.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too much noise, April 26, 2008
This review is from: Cardo Systems SCALA600 Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
While driving ( windows up ) people complained that there was so much noise they couldn't here me. So , I returned for a replacement assuming it was defective. Same complaints with the replacement. Apparently it just doesn't cut it unless you are in a still room . I use it while driving 90% of the time and that's when people tell me to please use my handset cause the noise is unbearable.

2.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for. Snap, crackle, pop., May 25, 2008
This earpiece works, holds a charge(long talk time), fairly easy to pair with your phone. But... people say I sound like I'm in an echho chamber and it crackles when I'm listening to people. But, then again it was $20.
So to sum up... Cheap.
Long talk time.
Easy to use.
Bad reception.(good enough to talk while driving)

3.0 out of 5 stars Fairly good for the price, January 31, 2008

The Cardo Scala 600 is very lightweight and comfortable. The ear loop bends so that you can form it to your ear for a more secure feel. This Cardo model does not have an ear bud, which I actually prefer. The sound/voice quality has a little bit of an echo. The function and volume buttons are easy to use. The only down side is that it does not have noise cancellation. However, this does not seem to affect the sound quality that much and people can still hear me even though there is a little bit of background noise. Except for the lack of noise cancellation and average sound quality, this is a good inexpensive headset and worth a try.

Good sound quality - I can hear the caller and they can hear me loud and clear. Works well with my Motorola RAZR V3m and I can use the voice activated commands with this headset. No fiddling with the phone to search for people while making a call. Very handy in the car.

Minor annoyance - Charger is USB type but not the standard mini-USB we find in cell phones. Thus, you will have to lug around another charger if your cell phone uses the standard mini-USB charging port.

I purchased this for my wife's birthday. Before I gave it to her I tested it out for a few days to make sure she would like it and it was compatible with our Samsung phones. While I used it nobody even knew I was using a bluetooth, even while driving. Everybody just assumed I had the phone to my ear. So as im saying this provided good sound quality. And was comfortable on my ear.

I myself have had 2 of the Cardo Scala earbuds (a 500 & a 600). The small size makes both of the earbuds easy to use & I have enjoyed both of them. When my husband needed an earbud, he asked me to get him the 600. Since then, we have purchased more 600's for some of our friends who have been very satisfied with them. I would recommend them to anyone who needs an earbud to comply with the new laws.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor reception.....bad product, September 1, 2008
This review is from: Cardo Systems SCALA600 Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
The range of this headset is terrible. I cannot even put my Razr in my pants pocket and use the headset without terrible static. I am very dissapointed, and do not even use the headset anymore.

The price was right but it doesn't fit very well and the on/off controls are a pain in the you know where. If it's an occasional use thing then I would buy it but if you want to use it all the time and look like a robot, spend a few bucks more and get a better one.
