I aboslutely LOVE this deck. It's very intuitive and descriptive. As long as I feel I am grounded and in the right place, the readings have come out perfect.

i have alot of respect for ray buckland...worked with some of his material back in the late 80s but i prefer 'darker' material. nonetheless, he really makes things accessible in a way only buckland can and this alchemical deck is dead on perfect in how it is structured and how it avoids cliches. it is a powerful tool for transformation/mutation as is the Mayan Oracle (among a few others).
highly recommended

Not for Tarot Readers,

I didn't buy these cards for reading, only to use a book markers for jewelry books. While I am not satisfied they are sort of relevant because they have the names of stones on them.
With that said the cards a not made from strong cardstock as most Tarot decks are, it is more of a light cardstock rather than regular card material. They also have a somewhat strange pale yellow back ground color. The images on the cards are not as radiant as seen in the computer images and lack detail. There is no border surrounding the reading area and some images seem to be printed a little askew. As for people planning to use them for reading, it is probably not the best investment. The cards are printed horizontal therefor they do not seem to be reversible and will wear out quickly. |
