VERY HELPFUL!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Care & Keeping of You Journal (Spiral-bound)
This book was really great! It gave important imformation about "girl" things, and I really learned a lot about growing up, changes, and just my body. It explains how to stay healthy and clean. I enjoyed reading this book a lot! It's a good idea to look in it with your mother because you can understnad it more. This book probally should be for kids ages 11 and up!!!!!If kids under 11 years old see it, well, you need to have plenty of matureness!! I am 12 and for all you 12 year old girls out theRe, BUY THIS BOOK! ! !

A Journal Of Self Discovery,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Care & Keeping of You Journal (Spiral-bound)
The book is beautifully done. However, I was sort of disappointed because of the lack of information. There are a lot of things for me to fill out but not enough stuff for me to read. However, it IS a journal but I wish it was more detailed about what it wanted me to write and such. There are some things in here you can fill in once and if you want to fill it in again, you have to erase which is sometimes a pain.I think this book is for younger girls. If you want a mature book with a lot of good information, I would suggest The Care and Keeping of You. Although I'm disappointed, I definitely don't regret buying it but you should have the companion book (The Care of and Keeping of You: The Body Book For Girls) first before getting the journal. Have fun!

This book was recommended to me by two people and I am so glad I got it. My 10 yr old daughter has written quite a bit in it. It has simple, appropriate explanations for the changes her body is going through. It's also a helpful way for girls to learn about the importance of hygiene etc. from another source besides their 'parent'. Books know more than parents do, right?!

This is a good companion with the "taking care of me" book. It even has a spot where she can track her periods once that happens. I think anytrhing that takes ther edge off of growing up is a plus. This is a plus, but not "needed".

My daughter has loved loved the American Girl series of books and has about 10 of them. She specifically requested this Journal, along with the Feelings Journal. She loves it, and she brings it to me often for discussion. A great add on for the book.

Excellent product. Gives great information, but also allows mom plenty of room to share, teach and grow relationship with daughter. Will be great conversation starter. Would definitely recommend.

I can't say enough good stuff about this book. My daughter loved it and it taught her so much about herself. She would read it and then ask me questions. Sometimes we would read it together. I am so glad I purchased this for her. It was the best investment ever!

Nicely done book. But really best used with the original book, "The Care and Keeping of You." I have two daughters that both love that book, and the older one just received the journal as a gift and likes it very much. Only thing I could recommend they add is a little more info on menstruation as far as different experiences all being ok (light, heavy, irregular, etc.)
