Caremail is packed full of earth-conscious products that use 50-100% post- consumer recovered fiber. Why? Because recycled paper production consumes 65% less energy, uses 80% less water and creates 90% less air pollution than virgin paper production. In addition, the high post-consumer recycled content helps drive refuse out of waste streams and into new products.

Plus, most CareMail items are recyclable and/or biodegradable and many can even be reused. They exceed CPG guidelines (EPA Comprehensive Procurement Guidelines) for using recycled content in the manufacture of new products.

Office Recycling Tips

Partner with your office supply vendor for sustainable practices. Most vendors offer a recycling program for printer and copier consumables such as fusers, toners and cartridges. Many office supplies are now manufactured with recycled content.

Place recycling stations in convenient and accessible locations around the office and introduce a desk side recycling program. These two items could increase your recyclables and reduce your rubbish by as much as 50%.

The CareMail 8.5 x 10/75 mailers are rugged, have good adhesive, and are a lot thicker than your standard padded envelope. I ordered these from Amazon and they came in very handy for selling DVDs, CDs, Double-DVD sets and small books. Items do not slide much inside and there doesn't seem to be the risk of the material breaking. Using mailers has made my life a lot easier; I cannot always re-use packaging from my own purchases (!) so these were a necessity.

These envelopes are very sturdy and they have very strong tape to seal them, so you don't have to add tape to keep them closed.

We are using these envelopes to mail out a "sustainable" gift. These envelopes are sturdy, seal tight and have an easy to open pull tab. They have a great feel to them, and you can't beat the way they are constructed and they way they are labeled to make a statement that you are concerned about the environment.

One important word of caution is that pressure sensative labels don't stick well. You'll want to put a strip of packing tape over the label if you use a label. A little packing tape is still a lot more environmentally friendly than a bubble wrap envelope.
