Book Description

Wouldn't you love to have a magical compass to lead you through your life? One that would always show you the right answers on tests, lead you to the right college and then to the right course of study at that college. It would lead to your first job, your first (and maybe last) love and always show the path ahead. This isn't some idle fantasy. We each have a compass to show us the way. This compass, of course, is our desire, that feeling, that pull, that tension -- in some cases, an overwhelming flood of feeling that says "Yes, this is the way -- this is the one -- this is where you need to go!" Career Compass will teach you how to use your personal compass to lead you to a more fulfilling career.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your time June 26, 2013
By Khan
Format:Kindle Edition
Who is this person, why should I be listening to him and what makes him an authority who should be giving anyone advice?

For career and life advice, I want to hear from successful people who have actually accomplished things in their lives, not from nobodies who self publish pamphlets on the internet. Went through the leaflet, and it's just general self-help babble you can find from a variety of sources -- either on the internet, from any of the ubiquitous self help books and speakers in the world or other readily available sources.

It's very short and I borrowed it for free, but is still a waste of time to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars A booklet with a quick, useful exercise March 4, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I've been listening to the author's podcasts for several years and he's very insightful. This booklet provides additional insight and a short exercise that might help you make your next career decision. Sometimes I lose sight of what I enjoy versus what I'm good at. Doug can help you determine what those skills are and encourage you to explore them further. I enjoy reading his work and listening to his advice. I hope you will too! If you're a prime member, you can borrow it for free.
