I have a preference for my textbooks to be on the computer whether it's on kindle or in another program. The reason why I do not have a 5 star review for the kindle version of this book is because the search feature in kindle is extremely inadequate for someone using this is a textbook. Even if I know word for word what exactly I am looking for, it will not bring me to that part in the book, and turning page by page in a kindle is also annoying when you are trying to use it as a textbook. I have used other programs where you rented textbooks online and the search feature is much better. The problem is that, as a Graduate student, I want to keep the books I pay for. My solution for this course so far was copying and pasting the book that I bought into Microsoft Word so I can use the search feature there. However, the publisher has a limit on how much you can copy and paste from the book. That creates a huge problem for online courses. I have a feeling that I'm just gonna have to use rental places online in the future unless Kindle gets better with its search feature.
Though I am typically pleased with amazon books for kindle, in this case I am disappointed with the product. I enjoy not having to lug around a big heavy book, but in this case, I really wish I would have purchased the print version of this book instead. My main complaint is that the book does not offer page numbers to correspond with the printed edition making citations for class assignments a huge pain.
Fairly good read even if you are just brushing up on this field of counseling for personal edification/client assistance. I am using it for a class, and it has been insightful, especially regarding the process of walking a client through tasks of gaining self-awareness and awareness of external factors when making a career decision.
