Great book for the job seeker,
By Lance Tukell (Argyle7@Worldnet.att.net) (New York City) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Exploring Careers in Video and Digital Video (Career Resource Library) (Library Binding)
So far, Paul Allman's book has far surpassed anything I've read about how to get into the video industry. His book is full of anecdotal evidence of job hunting techiniques used by himself (he has worked in all aspects of the industry) and others. He discusses the kind of personality and temperment that is appropriate for each speciality in video. Perhaps the biggest strength of the book are the suggestions of where to look for entry level employment for the novice. The book has a great appendix that contains information of trade magazines, books, schools etc.

This book takes the view-point of somebody who knows how to get into this business, and the language used really inspired me to feel that this what I was looking for.
