Gr 6-9-A concise and interesting overview of careers available in the fashion industry. Each job-related discussion is based, presumably, on an interview with a person in that position. Average-to-poor quality full-color photographs appear throughout, but they are generic and not particularly informative. Occupations covered include photographer, fashion designer, production assistant, model, retail marketing assistant, image consultant, and showroom salesperson. Each is split into ``Nuts and Bolts of the Job'' and ``Have You Got What It Takes?,'' which delves into the background required. Some job-hunting advice is offered in the final section, along with a sample resume. Overall, an easy-to-read introduction to the field.-Joyce Adams Burner, formerly at Spring Hill Middle School, KS
