4.0 out of 5 stars Wow, what a shocker!, April 4, 2011
I picked up this book on a whim -- it's a skinny little thing with a kind of childish looking cover. But precisely because it looked so harmless, I began reading it the day I brought it home. Even with my taking notes while reading it, it only took me two days to finish. But in those two days I learned more about the fashion industry than I had in months of reading websites and other books.

This little volume answered so many questions I had, and cleared up so much of my confusion, and best of all there was NO FILLER. As someone who can be impatient, I loved that every word in this book was valuable. There was no repetition, the organization was clear and allowed you to flip to exactly what you wanted to know or get a good overview of the many careers within fashion.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn about the fashion industry, but doesn't know where to begin. Start with this book and you'll go places! I am giving the book four stars because I have no clue how useful this book might be for someone who has a little bit of knowledge and wants to deepen their understanding of fashion.
