Careers in Social & Rehabilitation Services,

This review is from: Careers in Social and Rehabilitation Services (McGraw-Hill Professional Careers) (Paperback)
This was a very useful new resource for the Career & Academic Adivising Center. We have approximately 240 students taking a College/University Career Explorations Classes each semester, as well as students from all over the Campus, who come in to use the Career Center. The resources in the Library here are very well used. This new and up to date career information is a valuable tool for students who are making decisions on a major, and looking for "that dream career".

This little book has a world of valuable information for anyone considering a career in many of the fields of rehabilitation or social work. The book begins with a history of rehab, and explains to high school students what they should be doing in order to gain entrance into a rehabilitation program. I was impressed with the author, who mapped out too many careers to be mentioned. Each one explained what they do, where they can work, expected salary, how to qualify, how to advance, the bad points and a list for additional information. It is valuable information for writers, students, an anyone just curious. |
