Not Very Good,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Careers for Travel Buffs & Other Restless Types (Paperback)
This book isn't very helpful or enjoyable to read. The author comes across as a VERY macho, traditional male and his personality comes across very strongly in the writing. As I am not this type of person, it was a huge turn off for me.The book is not much more than a brief skimming of careers and some pep talk advice, like "you have to work hard to get what you want." You can get the much of this info from an internet search or a visit to a career counselor. There were a few useful tidbits of info. I learned my dream of being a travel writer isn't likely to happen and wouldn't pay well anyway. Don't waste your time and money.

Nothing you can't read on the internet,
This review is from: Careers for Travel Buffs & Other Restless Types (Paperback)
This book is nothing more than a few paragraphs about several "travel-related" careers. It contains no information that you couldn't read for free on the internet. He doesn't list any truly unusual travel careers, but focuses on standards like becoming a travel agent, foreign service officer, joining the military, working on a cruise ship, etc. I checked it out from my local e-Library, and I'm so glad I didn't pay for this book.
