I wouldn't recommend it for ferrets though.

I use this in conjunction with the Kaytee Pellets to save money, as my bunny fills his litter boxes quickly and we have to empty them daily.

I use these under one of my dwarf bunnies aspen litter in his litter pan to help absorb odor and save on aspen bedding, sometimes I even add a drop or two of lavender oil underneath these. They really do cut down a lot on odor, compared to using only aspen bedding in his litter pan-the odor is cut by 50% using these with just some aspen on top, and I only have to use a couple handfuls under his aspen litter every litter pan change, so it saves me $$ on aspen big time. I only go through one of these bags in 2 months so the price on these is worth it. But I can only use these litter pellets. My male dwarf bunny hates the carefresh shredded litter. I tried to use those once under his aspen and he stopped going to his litter pan.(I think because the carefresh shredded smells like bleach and is not made for rabbits) These litter pellets have almost no smell at all-completley absorbers, I love this product! My male dwarf loves this product too! He has got a personailty where he doesn't dig in his litter pan or eat the litter in it, he just goes and does his business and hops off it, so his little pellets sit on top and his urine goes to the bottom of his pan. He uses the Ware litter pan too, so it's so easy to clean I just slide it off the hinges that attach to his cage.

PS You can only use these large pellets with a rabbit who doesn't dig in their litter pan, I've found with my female dwarf that she cannot use these pellets because she digs them out, and she will eat her litter too-which this product is paper and can cause obstruction if eaten. So for her personality, I got some really fine aspen, the kind they use for snakes, to put on the bottom, which absorbs moisture and cuts odor, and on top I put the regular aspen chips. Then I throw some timothy hay on top of all that.

It smells gross. I followed the directions exactly. After a day I noticed a disgusting smell. I thought it was my daughters hamster. I removed the soiled bedding as directed for a week. By the end of the week the smell was unbearable. The next time I changed the litter, I just used the carefresh natural bedding without the litter and the smell was gone. I haven't used it since. I still have a full bag left.

This is the best little we have found for our juvenile bunny and old guinea pig pair. It does a great job at covering odors and has a bit of weight to keep it from getting kicked out easily. The bunny seems to really love digging in it.

I really like using the large pellets for my mini lop Buttercup. It's great at absorbing urine and has really pleasant smell...right out of the bag that is. I also add a little carefresh natural bedding on top for extra comfort.

I see Carefresh is adding baking soda to some of their litters. I will not touch it since. Why add a questionable additive to a litter that some animals eat, or inhale? If the cage smells, clean it! I used to love their products. Lots of my friends with rabbits have dropped the line - hopefully they will remove all additives and odours that might irritate a small animal. Animals in pens or cages cannot remove themselves from an airway irritant. Additives do not benefit the animal, only the human is deceived into thinking the litter is cleaner than it actually is.

This is the best litter I have been able to find for my rabbit. It's a bit more pricy then other options such as feline pine, but I hate how those ones expand a ton. This one just absorbs, it really doesn't expand much. It has the best odor control that I've been able to find along with it's absorbancy. We were changing the litter box daily with feline fine, now we change it about every 3 days.

This is a great product and works very well for odor control in my bunnies litter boxes. I use this in conjunction with the Kaytee Pellets to save money, as my bunny fills his litter boxes quickly and we have to empty them daily. I purchase both here on Amazon, as their price beats all of the stores I've shopped.

I don't like the blue & red things in this litter. It's okay for a cage where you're putting the litter underneath, but we have a litter box and when the bunny uses it, she gets red and blue fuzzies on her fur.
