The adjustable soft grip cane has a turn tightener and button clasp that locks in at the desired height, so while adjustable, it will NOT move. You can and do feel secure. This is NOT the cane that you can take apart. I didn't want that one, as this is not something that takes up space in storage and I wanted a continuous piece so I can move things closer over to me with it and also didn't like idea of having to "build" the cane. I would suggest this type over the type of cane you can take apart in pieces. I ruptured my achilles and I know that this BLACK cane does not ad a look of feebleness. I don't feel foolish using it. The handle is VERY comfortable to my hand and I can see this will be in the family for years (not cheaply built) if needed. I was looking for a cane for awhile, not wanting the candy cane shape wood type then not wanting to spend $40 or above either..since it's not forever. This fit the bill at $20 and does NOT draw attention by it's black color. If you have a sports injury and will use a cane for a short period, I would click "buy" on this one. After having looked so long, I was happy when I opened the box. It's nice..for what it is...hopefully won't be needing it for long!!

A very pretty, feminine cane that is exactly as advertised. It is sturdy, adjustable, and is perfect for walking around the house or short distances. The only reason I don't use it for longer walks is due to the lack of foam padding around the handle. If you don't have any problems with your hands or fingers, then the lack of padding shouldn't bother you. I would love to have this in several more colors!

Grip Wrong Color
