5.0 out of 5 stars Value for your money!
Very rarely have I purchased items that are exactly as described by their manufacturers or that work exactly as they're supposed to. This is one of the exceptions!
The fit is true to size - very comfortable - not skin tight, or too loose. The material is soft, yet durable, and has great anti-odour properties. It really is a well made t-shirt. It does a great job of...

2.0 out of 5 stars Good t-shirt but not good for indoor sports involving sweat
This is a fine t-shirt. It's fairly heavy and thick and seems well made. Unfortunately, I do not think it is good for indoor sports that involve a lot of sweat because: 1) the sweat shows plain as day; 2) I cannot tell that this t-shirt wicks away the sweat anymore than an ordinary t-shirt; 3) there is a silly front pocket on the t-shirt that is not appropriate for...

It does a great job of keeping you dry and cool in warm weather (I haven't had a chance to test it in cold weather yet).
I've owned this t-shirt for one year now and it has held up much better than others bought at the same time or afterwards. It's not the cheapest t-shirt out there, but it certainly is worth a few extra dollars for what you get!

This t-shirt keeps me cool and dry all day long it is comfortable and light only one down side, for a medium it was a little on the big side but apart from that it's great

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Work Shirt, July 19, 2011

This is a great work shirt. I wear Carhartt every day at my job in manufacturing. Carhartt is durable and the best buy for your buck. Would have given this a 5 star rating but this fabric tends to attract lint.

Carhartt has some of the best product
on the market today in my opinion.
If you are looking for something heavier duty
then buy carhartt!

5.0 out of 5 stars Marvelous...Whatever that Means, October 31, 2010

This review is from: Carhartt Men's Shortsleeve Work-Dry T-Shirt (Apparel)
i purchased one of these t-shirts in cobalt blue-back in july of this year-2010. ive worn & washed it Umpteen times, and its still in very good condition.

initially i babied it-by hang drying after taking it from the washer. that gave me better results than when i started tossing it into the dryer. it faded a bit, but i blame myself for that, and since then there has been very little fade.

im not sure who all was involved in making these shirts, but they deserve a raise. it totally looks like a 100% cotton tee, but this particular 6o% cotton & 40% polyester blend feels darn near silky...very nice. oddly enough, it feels better on the outside, than the inside. maybe thats part of the whole moisture wicking thing. u know what-maybe ill wear it inside-out underneath a sweatshirt for a workout to see if thats true.

if not, i may call carhartt & complain...i mean, if u can make the inside (the part thats actually against the skin) feel that good, or Better-w/out diminishing
overall quality---y not do that?

at any rate-it has performed wonderfully. sometimes u may read about this brand, or that brand being over or undersized. well, when someone writes that carhartt is a bit over-sized...please listen. its better to order a size down from what u want.

oh! after each drying, i like to pull & twist a tee-shirt back out to where it was before...even tho this has had very little shrinkage, theres still been some. when i first bought it & did this---i loosened some of the stitching, and 3 months later-that stitching still hasnt completely unraveled. thats just how durable this shirt has been. heck, im wearing it right now.

i have one of the long-sleeved work-dry carhartts in my cart at the moment, along with some salomon xt-wings-2-gtx trail running shoes. im waiting for amazon to put more size 13s back on the site-so i can get the them for the 13 dollars less than backcountry is selling them for here, like the site had available yesterday.

even if it they arsnt reduced i may still buy them-ive wanted some of those since the first version...read really good things about em. so, a review may be soon coming from me on those.

last thing...bc of the great experience ive had with this work-dry short-sleeved shirt, on last week i ordered two other carhartts that are made of cotton & polyester...HUGE mistake. they arrived with worn out looking lettering, which after zooming in on the website pic for at least one of them-i saw was the intended design, but they are also super thin...seriously, like boxers or pajama-wear.

so, unless ure in like a 80 degree+ environment, & a situation where theres little or no risk of snagging---i wouldnt recommend the cotton-poly-blend big logo tee, or the long ranglan sleeved ringer tees by carhartt.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great alternative to more expensive "Armor", September 4, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've been a fan of Carhartt t-shirts for several years now. I'm a big guy who normally takes at a 3XL. Try finding that big a size in most stores! Carhartt, however, is sized BIG. I can fit in a 2XL, and a 2XL is PERFECT. Sleeves not too long, and nice and long to cover my belly.

I love the material. It's doesn't feel as synthetic as UnderArmor. It has a nice loose fit, without being baggy. Plus it has the pocket which is great for cash or my cell. Don't let the price fool you, these wear BETTER than more expensive shirts.
