I bought this jacket for its classic styling. I don't work outside for a living; I just wanted a jacket I could knock around in and not worry about it getting damaged. The jacket is great and warmer than I expected, which is a plus. The sizing and fit is spot on, at about 25 inches in length, the front bottom hem just covers my belt buckle, which is perfect (I'm 5'9"). Chest size is surprisingly accurate, with my Medium being perfect for a 38 or 40. My only gripe is that the sleeves are ridiculously wide, as if they were made for Popeye or Mark McGwire. As the jacket breaks in, the sleeve width becomes a bit less noticeable. Also, I had to snip a lot of hanging threads with scissors; it is sad when even a company like Carhartt is outsourcing.

I really like this jacket as it is stylish and heavy duty for my son to work in. I't's lightweight and great to use in early spring or fall.

This jacket is very well made and very nice looking. I ordered a small, I'm 5'6" and skinny. The length of the coat was spot on with my hip and looked good, the waist fit well with just enough extra room to be comfortable. The problem with this coat for me was that the width of the chest and arms are huge. I could have easily fit my thigh through the sleeve with room to spare and there was a lot of fabric bunching under the arms as a result. I understand that the arms are cut that way for movement and layering, but it is cut far larger than necessary for adequate movement in the chest and arms if you're skinny like me and have a 34" chest. I do HVAC for a living and would not want all this extra fabric hanging off my arms and chest while working, so I decided to return it. It would look and fit great on a short stocky guy who could fill out the chest and arms of the coat more.

This jacket fits fairly short, right at the waist, and I am not very tall. The outside hand pockets are kind of in an awkward position where my hands need to reach up too far for them to be comfortable. The fabric and zipper are of high quality and the jacket is durable. It also holds up well to machine washing and drying. I gave it three stars due to the shortness and the pocket positioning. I still think it's a good work jacket.

I've worn out two of these jackets by everyday wear in harsh conditions. The second one is still serviceable, but too ragged for church. I'm 5'8, 150 pounds. A medium fits me perfectly with room underneath for a Carhartt vest or hoodie on cold days. This is my go-to jacket. Highly recommend this and all Carhartt garments.

This is a very good jacket. I'm very pleased with the material, size, and fit of the jacket. I found it very useful as a midweight jacket when I am on my motorcycle. Initially I ordered the wrong size and was very pleased with the response and ease of returning the jacket and getting the proper size. There was a special customer service number for the Amazon customers. Again, I was very impressed. In summary, is a good quality - good-looking jacket and I like it a lot.

carhartt jackets are classic and always a great gift. my husband uses it for casual daily wear. i was afriad the jacket was going to be too short on my 6'2'' husband but it wasn't. the material is heavy duty and the inside blanket keeps the jacket light in weight and yet is very warm. my husband loves this jacket.
